Introduction

In this short demonstration, I will be showing you a three part method for dicing an onion.
All you realistically need to follow along is a knife and an onion, but a cutting board would be nice as well.

Step 1 - Perparing for Battle

First things first, cut the top end off of the onion(the tapered, narrow end),
cut the onion fully in half length-wise, and peel all off the brown layers, and maybe one of the white layers, just incase

Step 2 - First Blood

After peeling the onion, place half of the onion, flat side down on your cutting board or table.
Then make a series of perpendicular cuts to the tapered end of the onion (not the root end).
Each cut should be roughly a pinky finger's-width apart (maybe half if you have especially large hands)
and reach 3/4ths of the way through the length of the onion, being sure NOT to cut all the way through

Step 3 - Coup de grace

Lastly, cut across the cuts you made in the last step. All the way through the onion, roughly the same distance apart as the cuts you made previously.
