BOX MODEL /LAYOUT

Everything in CSS has a box around it

Boxes fall into two basic categories ...BLOCK or INLINE

BLOCK:

• break out onto new lines
• height and weight are obeyed
• padding, margin, and border cause elements to be pushed
• without width, block expands to fill the space of it's

INLINE:

• boxWILL NOT break up on it;s own line
• width and height do not apply
• padding, marginm and border don't push elements around
• left and right padding applies
